Veronica Hebard

Veronica Hebard is an educator and instructional leader with 27 years of experience. She has taught math to students in seventh grade to AP Calculus. Prior to her current role at Mayflower School District, she was the state math specialist at the Arkansas Department of Education. While there, she developed two high school courses, Quantitative Reasoning and Technical Math (dedicated to Larry), along with many other professional learning opportunities for educators. Her work at Mayflower, as the “Math Lady”, centers on instructional planning that focuses on practical strategies that respect teachers’ time and expertise. She likes to works alongside teachers to make classroom practices clearer, sustainable, and more student-centered. When she’s not working, Veronica enjoys baking and creating custom interactive scrapbooks as well as hanging out with her old girl cat, George.
