Joseph Chaves Lombardi is a dedicated secondary mathematics educator and emerging leader currently in his sixth year of teaching.
He serves as a high school mathematics teacher at High School in the Community, a specialized magnet school within the New Haven Public Schools. Mr. Lombardi's unique commitment to advanced student development is showcased through his role as an Adjunct Professor in the Early College BioCity Pathways program. This innovative initiative is a partnership between the City of New Haven and NHPS designed to offer accelerated high school students college-level STEM courses and mentorship opportunities with leading STEM researchers.
Beyond the high school setting, Mr. Lombardi also contributes to higher education as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Central Connecticut State University.
